Students visiting a young medical technology company

Prosthetics is an equally exciting and important, as well as technically demanding, subfield of medical technology. “Prosthetics professor” Dr. Hubert Egger therefore supplemented his fundamental explanations from the lecture hall by visiting a relevantly active company in practice at the beginning of June. Together with the participants of the course “High-Tech Limb Prosthetics” from the field of medical technology, the group went to Sendance GmbH in Linz. Dr. Daniela Wirthl, head of the “Project Management” department, provided interesting insights into ongoing projects and guided the students through the company’s development department.
It was a rewarding event in which the students asked many questions and were able to get an impression of how young companies can successfully position themselves in the medical technology market. Sendance recently celebrated its second anniversary – may many more follow.
